This Glasgow Cup Semi Final of 1956 heralded the arrival of Cathkin's most mischievous, super talented inside man since Jimmy Mason's career ended - Bobby Craig, who in addition to Thirds gave sterling service to Sheffield Wed and Celtic. The Charity status of this match also allowed teams to field 'Guests' and on this occasion included Ivor Broadis from Carlisle, Tommy Docherty and former Cathkin flyer, Bobby Mitchell. Bobby Craig stole this show with a superb ninety minutes.
